Hi, I’m using EE Core and I often use one image for each blog. Is there a module or plug-in that you guys use to upload images through the browser into EE? I see some people talking about Lightbox but that appears to be best suited to galleries, not individual images.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I guess I can code it through PHP myself but I don’t have my PHP book with me and I would like to finish this before I go back to work next week.

Just to clarify…you’re talking an image for each weblog or an image for each individual weblog post?

Sorry, an image for each weblog post. I usually tie a corresponding image to each entry for quick graphical navigation of the topics.

You can upload an image through the Publish form when you’re creating or editing a post. You can either embed the image tag within a text field (ie: body) or create a custom field for the image tag. The file upload button is somewhat obscure, it’s the little, green arrow under the Quick Save button.

In 1.6, it’s both a cute little icon and it says “File Upload’.  *grins at PXLated*

    Oh. My. God.

I’m a moron. I was using an older version of EE before creating a new site with 1.6. Somehow I managed to continue looking right past that “File Upload” button.

    *slaps forehead*

It would be great if the Upload utility could be directly associated with the custom field it’s required for—or have a file upload type for custom fields.

Hi, Kenzie - there is a feature request forum for items like this; it’s not necessary to post those onto support questions.  Thank you =)
