I want to provide a form where people can submit an entry without logging in. I’ve set up a stand alone entry form and a dedicated weblog but I can’t seem to find a way to allow open access to the form without people logging in. Any ideas?

sycogo, the SAEF requires you to be logged in.
What you can do instead is use the Solspace Freeform to send a moblog entry. The moblog entry will need to be triggered on a commonly accessed form.
It’s a bit of a workaround - but it does work.

Thanks Sue. It does seem like a bit of a gap in the system to me.

Not really. There is a reason the SAEF does not accept anonymous submissions. And this method works very well.

Hi Sue, I am very interested in using the freeform module to send a moblog entry, but I am a little stuck on how you take the freeform data and format it into an email that moblog can then read.
I am guessing that you use the ‘notify’ parameter in your freeform form to send a mail to your weblog, and that you set up the notify template to make sure all the data goes into the correct weblog fields.. but how do you include the tags in the freeform notify template? I have tried and it does not seem to pass them correctly.
