I’ve got a client who wants a secure section of his site restricted to one member group, and to minimize the risk of multiple users using the same account, he wants to track the IP addresses of the members in that group. I notice in the Control Panel it gives the last IP used by a member, but is there anywhere in the database or in EE or via some code or an addon that would keep a record of all the IPs used for a particular member?

No, there isn’t. And in our world of dynamically assigned IP-Addresses this doesn’t make too much sense, in my opinion, either. You can prevent concurrent logons, but two users sharing a login from different IP addresses at different times, not much you can do about it. Could be perfectly legal (home, business, weekend cottage, mobile) for all we know.

There isn’t a native way to save every IP associated with a given member- and while it wouldn’t be particularly difficult to write up a mod that would, I’m with Ingmar on thinking there wouldn’t be much point.  IPs change and folks login from different computers. 

You can set security settings such that one member can’t be logged in twice at the same time- in ‘Admin- System Prefs- Security’ it’s the ‘Allow multiple log-ins from a single account?’- but requires the use of sessions.  And it doesn’t help if you’re worried about two different people being logged in at different times.  Still- it might be an option for them.
