    Just getting started with Photogallery.
Created directories, category, and checked all the paths.  Entered several images using batch entry and processed them.
(In Visit Gallery: I can see the thumbnails (Most recent added and random pics), but when I click on the thumbnails, there is no image, just the title.

But from the Visit Gallery page, if I click on the category, I can see all the thumbnails for that category.  And then if I click on the thumbnails I see the full image.

I suspect it is somehow related to the different directories (images and batch) I have created.
Followed the Preferences user documents and created all the directories as detailed below.  Please help.

Created a gallery with the short name:  alaska
Created a directory on server:          /public_html/images/alaska/
Created Template group:              AK     (populated with default templates, I guess)
Gallery URL (creatd by system):        http://www.achesandjoints.com/index.php/AK/

    Image Paths:
    Image Folder Name:                    alaska
Server path to image directory:        /www/username/public_html/images/alaska/
Full URL to image directory             http://www.achesandjoints.com/images/alaska/

    Batch Processing Preferences:
    Batch processing folder:              gallerybatch
Server path to Batch Folder:          /www/username/public_html/images/gallerybatch/
(This is different than my new image directory, “alaska: I created above, correct?)
Full URL to Batch Directory:          http://www.achesandjoints.com/images/gallerybatch/

    Bruce:
    You were right on.
I had unchecked the Medium Image creation as my files were already of a lower res.  Thought it would just substitute the original image.  Had used the Batch process, so the images were still there.  Fixed it and now it works fine.

    Many thanks.

    btw,
If you know - is it possible to assign multiple categories for a pic.  Right now it seems to be only one and I cannot select multiple categories (like in the weblog)

Also, any suggestions where I can get more templates for the Photo Gallery; seems like the features are limited on the photo gallery.

I don’t think so…yet. But they may have added that was a feature req.

For templates for gallery, you can make any you want.
For example to integrate the gallery into your site design, copy
as an example, index file, remove everything between exp:weblog to /exp:weblog
and replace with gallery code from exp:gallery:entries to /exp:gallery:entries .
Do index, image full category using same weblog template.

Otherwise do a google on it, there are some that have been done.
I have four examples on my site in sidebar is 3 more:

Thanks from me too, Bruce!  And nope- the gallery doesn’t allow multiple categories.  (Nice gallery demos as well- folks have done some very nice stuff with it!)

Thanks to you both on the feedback. I’m trying to organize things more and improve a dismal record for time and client management, but there are a few good things on the site, although disorganized.

Over the past several years I have seen EE as having the best and most configurable gallery, and it just keeps getting better with the dev team, plugin, and module developers it has.
