I’m getting this when I update membership group permissions:

Notice: Undefined index: can_edit_categories in /home/account/public_html/xxx_html/system/cp/cp.members.php on line 2200

Notice: Undefined index: can_edit_categories in /home/account/public_html/xxx_html/system/cp/cp.members.php on line 2205

Notice: Undefined index: can_delete_categories in /home/account/public_html/xxx_html/system/cp/cp.members.php on line 2200

Notice: Undefined index: can_delete_categories in /home/account/public_html/xxx_html/system/cp/cp.members.php on line 2205

I’ve found that this member group can’t edit posts by other members even though they have that permission.

I get the above error when trying to update any set of permissions.

    Hi, Gary.

Here are a few posts with similar problems.

Make sure your weblogs have a valid status group, and that your members are listed in the Include user in PUBLISH page multi-author list.

    Does that help?

    Thanks Sue!
That was it. I’m glad to see you as an official support person finally. What took so long?

I’ve found an MSM problem - Unrelated.

Not sure if I should post in this thread.

The custom profile fields I create are showing up in both my MSM sites.
I create a profile field in Site A
And it displays in the cp in Site B and Site A

Members are not site specific but installation-wide, so they all share the same profile fields.

Bummer. I thought I had read this was doable.  I guess I misunderstood.

So I suppose there’s no way of selectively showing profile fields in various multiple sites?

    Thanks Paul

Not in the member area, no.  If one uses the Custom Profile Data tag though, one could choose to show only certain fields that way.  Possibly not flexible enough for your needs.  Might make a feature request for this ability.
