I need to make a directory website where subscribers are able to update their own listing and upload pics.

Is this something the Expression Engine can handle nicely?

    Cheers,
    Simon

    Greetings, Simon—

ExpressionEngine has public member profiles, you can see how to edit those by clicking “Control Panel” in the top right of our own forums.  You can click Member List and choose a member to see how those are displayed, as well - or just click Profile in these posts.

If you needed something more robust you could use weblog entries for that data as well.

You did not give us much in the way of details, so just be aware that EE can’t be used as the basis of a hosted blogging service

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Hi thanks for the feedback.

The website I’m about to start is a good ol’fashioned business directory list business by geographic region and/or category.

Some (not all) listing will need to be “owned” by a subscriber who can edit and upload photo’s, etc.

    Cheers,
    Simon
