I went to the site and looked around, but I’m not seeing where I can comment. 😊

Odd- previews ok, but I get the same, er- lack of an error message.  What build are you running?  And do you have any extensions installed?  Lastly- I might try putting up a fresh copy of the language file, just in case.  If you’re logged in as a superadmin- can you see any php error thrown?  (Assuming you have it set in ‘Admin- System Prefs- Output and Debug’ to show them to superadmins.  If you don’t- flip that on.  I can’t figure why there would be no message.)

I did that and I still don’t get any details on the error. also, the main site was working fine before the upgrade to 1.6 and the msm, so I am not sure what’s up with it now.

I disabled akismet and it works. is anyone using akismet on v1.6?

Hmmm… I recall seeing akismet being a problem in a previous post. I don’t use it, so I don’t have any first hand knowledge of it.

I left the author a comment on his blog, he posts here too. So we should be hearing back from him soon.

    thanks Sue!

I tried the ones that came with ee, but I was still getting tonnes of spam, I had like 100+ per day, so I started using akismet and that worked really well, so I am afraid to give it up. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! thanks.

    A post from Lisa:

Just as a note for future troubleshooting - I haven’t seen an exception for this (though there probably are) - anytime you see an obvious space where you know there should be text but there is none (as in that screenshot), then you’re missing a language file, or one is corrupt.  That’s a dead giveaway that a language file somewhere is missing.  It’s hard to troubleshoot in that screenshot, since it’s leaving out the error - but it does give a starting point. =)

Can you see if re-installing the extension fixes the problem?

No, not at all. Just wanted clarification on what you were going to reinstall.

Very cool. I’ll go find the other thread and mention that you were able to get it working.
