I followed the upgrading instructions, replacing the suggested files via ftp program.  All should be well, but when I try to access my admin pages or website, I get the following error message:

    MySQL ERROR:

    Error Number: 1146

    Description: Table '327128_wallst.exp_sites' doesn't exist

Query: SELECT es.* FROM exp_sites AS es WHERE es.site_id = '1'

Other threads suggested a missing update.php file, which is alive and well on my site, and gives me a current version as 1.5.2 instead of 1.6.0, which is what I just installed.

I am new to EE and still finding my way around it.  Any suggestions?

See if this helps any. On some of my domains I have to add SecFilterEngine Off to my .htaccess file.

    Sue?  You okay? 😛

Dave, if you already had 1.5.2 installed, which is sounds like you did, then you need to run the update script.  Note that you followed the instructions for a build update, when you needed to follow the version upgrade instructions.

Well that’s definitely an issue.  😊

    Thanks for the help!

    Thanks, Derek.
Doing the proper installation worked great.  However, the image upload feature is malfunctioning now that I have everything upgraded.  When I click “upload file” in an article, choose the file in the “file upload” box, I get the error:

A problem was encountered while attempting to upload your file.

    That’s it, no details….hmmmm…

Grabbing the file via the “file browser” box works fine, and the images show up properly on the site this way.  I didn’t see any mention of any file upload issues to watch out for in the documentation, although I know this feature was modified in the version update.

fixed it myself, I needed to change the permissions on my upload directory.
