    I´m updating 2.4 to 2.9.0:

    After doing the normal installation procudure (copy files over, copy old settings files back in e.t.c.) the installation wizard ran like you would expect, ran for about 1 second, then just stopped. There is no-longer anything displaying in the grey box, just a black horizontal line in the middle of the box.

    I can´t get further

    my db config parameter always has been on   $db[‘expressionengine’][‘cache_on’] = FALSE;

    I need help

    Have you checked that your server meets minimum requirements, especially PHP (5.3.10) for ee 2.9?

    hi Jeremy

    yes of course, I have PHP 5.3.10 or newer, compiled with the GD, and MySQL 5.0.96

    The thing is, when I started the proccess, after to copy the files and everything; the wizard shown several “fatal error about some PHP extensions that aren’t installed,

    the first was session extension,

    the next was; the wizard show a known bug which I solved with

    ” ALTER TABLE exp_templates ADD `protect_javascript` char(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT ‘n’ AFTER hits “

    and finally the second extension was json extension.

    I ran again the updating wizard and now I have a long black horizontal line.
