I haven’t been using EE for a long time, and now I have to learn it from the very beginning.
My question is: why the entry body text doesn’t show up on the “View Entry” page after submitting. Only the title appears there.

Do you mean in the control panel, or on the rendered live site?
What version of EE?

Only in the control panel. It’s OK on the rendered live site. EE version is 2.9.0.

2.9 doesn’t appear to show custom field content in that view any more.

There is a—live-look—option as described on the blog (makes a link to a special template)
