I’ve developed over a dozen EE sites (probably over 20) so I’m not a novice, but am running into an unusual issue.

On a current site, all works perfectly well when developing locally (MAMP) and works properly from the front-end on the staging site (Verve Hosting) and mostly works on the admin side as well, BUT with one notable issue. If you go in to edit a field property (such as editing the specific checkbox options for a field), when you click “Update” a “page not found” error is returned if strict URLs are enabled or the index page if it is not.

As far as we can tell, this is the only problem. Every other aspect of the site, both from the front and from the control panel, seems to work!

Any suggestions on where to look? We’ve also approached Verve about the problem.

Just heard back from Verve - they said “it’s probably an issue with mod_security” and then they made some adjustments to the server configurations and it’s all working again. I’ve asked for more specific details which I’ll post here if I get them.
