Publish/edit Making Status Blank

Hi,
Basically when I publish or edit an entry the status turns blank and the entry page will not show. The default is set to Open. I am a super admin. I go into the open status permissions and I see 3 groups I can restrict access, to but they are all set to yes, super admin isnt an option im assuming because this doesnt need to be set for them. After I post it the status shows nothing until I select the entry and hit edit selected. Then it shows the status as open and when I save this everything is working fine again. Does anyone have an idea whats going on? I just updated from 1.7 to 2.8.1

I figured it out. For some reason the status_group was 0 for all of my channels in the channels table. I just ran an update to change them all to 1 and everything is working now.
