I am starting to use the EE forums module and noticed that when accessing my profile the url is

forums/cimmunity/profile/

I was looking to see if I can fix the cimmunity/ part and not really sure how its got that.

Has no one came across this before.

I just checked my forum install and I see nothing like that at all.  I see /forums/member/3/ when looking at my public profile.  Are you sure you have not added the word cimmunity somewhere in your install?  I tried using your path and got an error message.

All I did was upload the forum folder and clicked install from the control panel.  Wouldn’t know where to even change something like that.  Never really looked at it before and only noticed as I am now using the forums live on my site.

I did a search for the word “cimmunity” throughout my site as well as the database and it did not show up at all.  It has to be something specific with your install.  Check to see if you changed the name of the Members group and called it cimmunity by chance.
