For some reason the “browse” button is missing.  Why is this happening in version 2.7.3   Can anyone else reproduce this?

    Never seen that before.

    A few things to check:

    1. Check in the source code for the page, do you see the select field with the list of avatars and/or the file upload field?
    2. Make sure the /images/avatars folder is writable
    3. Under Member preferences make sure settings are ok and path’s URL’s are correct
    4. Make sure you uploaded images to /images/avatars

It’s super weird because we use the avatars on the front end with solspace’s user module so they are definitely enabled, in fact on this particular screenshot there is an avatar that was placed via the front end that appears so all paths are writable.  I checked the source code and I find this interesting that the upload field is there but is hidden in the CP.  Is there a setting for this that I just never knew about?

Hmmm strange for sure. I’m wondering if the actual pixel size of the image is affecting the display?

Damnit you are right.  I’m very sorry, I had no idea because it doesn’t look broken and the first three or four people;s images are so damn big but when I went to one that wasn’t, it appeared.  Thank you!!

No worries! I did think those images were a bit large to fit on the screen:)
