I wanted to put a nofollow, noindex on specific pages on my EE blog. My procedure was to add a custom field and insert the tag at the top of the page.
What I’m wondering about is whether that will block just the one page, or if that somehow will bleed over to the rest of the site
The URL structure of my individual articles pages is
http://www.example.com/index.php/templatename/comments/articlename1
I can see the noindex nofollow in the generated source on that page that I wanted to block, but not on any of the others others. Am I good? Do I have to somehow close out the meta for that page with a </meta> or something?
Not sure about any of this, and don’t want to accidentally deindex my entire site.
