Hi All,

  I have been using EE from sometime now and now in one of my site I am facing an issue.The site worked fine on my server and when site is moved to client server I am not able to login in control panel.
 
  On login page the following error shows

A PHP Error was encountered

Severity: Warning

Message: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/s1betabr/public_html/kingling/themes/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/kingling/:/tmp:/var/tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/)

Line Number: 194

along with some other errors (please check attached screen shot),I am not able to find the reason for this issue.Can anyone please help me out in solving this issue.

Hi,

I think there was a issue at the time of installing EE in your PC.

My suggestion is to uninstall EE from your PC and then re install the same.

I think that will serve your purpose.

But if that was the case then it should have not worked on my server,its running absolutely fine on my server now.
I downloaded the files from my server and uploaded the same to clients server and now the issue exists on clients server

You need to check all your server paths in the EE installation.  From the look of that error, the installation on the client’s server is located at /home/kingling/, but is trying access a file at /home/s1betabr/public_html/kingling/themes/, which is in violation of phps open_basedir restrictions.

You can’t just copy and paste files from one server to another with EE - you need to also update all paths to properly reflect the setup on the new server.
