Hi! I’m new to this and I am working through the book “Building websites with Expression Engine 2”. I have installed the Agile Records website and I am trying to understand where all the codes go. I feel a bit stupid because this is probably really easy if you know it, but if I wanted to add another link next to Home|About|Contact, where would I put that? I can’t find the template, I’m guessing it should be in a template somewhere, the code that decides what links to show there.

    Can anyone help me?

I’m not intimate with that book - does it use the Agile Records theme?  I don’t recall, but assume global navigation would be pulled either into a Snippet or Embedded template.  You should be able to explore each of those collections and eventually find the code.

As like you zharlie, I am new to this realm and had a similar experience. Contact the author/provider for support.

I strongly suggest to you that you go to Trainee.com and/or Mijingo.com and buy the related material. I have both the books and screen casts, a little support for guys benefits us all. These guys know what they are doing and are very good at teaching it.

The costs for these learning materials is pennies on the dollar when compared to what they teach you. Just try to follow along verbatim and if they say cough, then cough.
