Do any of you use the Low Reorder for Structure plugin?

Assuming you’re using Structure & Low Reorder, it adds a link next to a page which has listings, and changes the “Add or Edit” link to be “Add, Edit or Reorder.”

I’m having a problem where the “Reorder” link is going to the wrong reorder list. And the unfortunate part is that it matches up reorder lists to listings automatically, so I can’t manually select one or the other (as far as I know).

I’ve got two reorder lists that pull from the same channel. The channel is called “projects” and the lists are called “projects” and “area” - Projects is all of the listings, while area is a particular subset.

According to the docs, it should pick up the reorder list with the same name, but it’s picking up the other one instead.

Is there a way to override the selection that the plugin is making? Or change my data to get the plugin to select the right list?

You really need to request support from Low or Structure devs for this.

Well - the problem is that this is a plugin developed as a one-off by a guy with no contact info. So it’s not really part of structure, nor is it Low’s. It’s just a small add-in that someone created to connect the two.

I was hoping someone here would go “Hey, I had that exact same problem and did X!”

Hmmm in that case posting to http://expressionengine.stackexchange.com/ may get you some help.

It may be that the plugin has values hard coded in the plugin file. Was it working when it was first developed, and have you added any new lists or created new Structure sections since?

It could also be caching… have you cleared EE’s cache to regenerate the code?

I’ve got it working now. It’s not really a “fix,” but more of a work-around. I use this plugin all the time. First time I’ve had it act weirdly, and know I know better.

I posted on stack-exchange too, and did get a little help decoding how the plugin works.

I did a bit of testing in my dev environment. Looks like the plugin takes the listings channel linked to the page, and then points to the highest number (most-recently-added) reorder list that uses that channel.

Short version - I deleted my first reorder list, and recreated it.

If I’ve got five reorder lists (different categories, or whatever) that all pull from the same channel.  If I delete one of them and re-add it, that’s the one the ‘reorder’ button gets linked to.
