    Hi

We have just upgraded from EE 2.5.2 to 2.7.2.  Everything seems to be working fine apart from the password reset for users in the front end.  When a user clicks to reset their password the system emails them a link for them to reset it, but when that link is clicked the following error is shown

The ID number you submitted does not appear to be valid. Please check the link you followed.

Admins are able to reset their password via the main admin area fine so this error only seems to be connected to the user front end.

I did notice that the URL for admin is a long URL while the link for users seem to be a short protected link eg .../?ACT=11&id=jijlx6k867ey

Has anyone any ideas on how to overcome?

I have updated all the add-ons so I dont think its that but might be wrong.

thanks in advance for any input

Did you managed to figure this out?
I have exactly the same issue on 2.7.2

Also same issue… I am using Freemember though.

So if you are too, then seems I needed the {exp:freemember:reset_password} tag in addition to the {exp:freemember:forgot_password} and specify the reset_password template in the forgot_password tag.

All working OK for me now.
