I am looking for documentation on the lowest and highest PHP/MySQL versions compatible with EE 1.6.x through 2.x. I can not find the information in range format.

For instance, the 1.7 docs state “PHP version 4.1 or newer/MySQL version 3.23.32 or newer”. However, these docs were written before PHP 5.5 was available, so it doesn’t take 5.5 into account. It may work. It may not.

I have sites running EE 1 and EE 2. I would like to know how far I can safely upgrade each sever, but the “or newer” notations in the docs are not useful for this task.
