    We just upgraded from 2.7.0. to 2.7.2. and are now getting timeout errors when trying to log in. It says the session’s expired no matter how many times I try to log in. The logout popup box gives an “undefined” error as well.

    I also ran into this issue after updating from 2.7.0 to 2.7.2 but I was able to get around the session time out by adding this to my config.php

    $config['admin_session_type'] = 'c';

    But now I’m seeing a login box show up at the bottom of the control panel area which is unsettling.

    It concerns me that no one from ExpressionEngine will even reply to say, ‘We are looking into this problem”. It did not use to be this way. There are a lot of us who paid for previous versions of EE who were lead to believe that support would be here, at the forums. Now the product is basically free, but one has to pay for real support. I’d rather buy the product outright and then have support. I almost wish I had not switched all my websites over to EE two years ago. This forum is now a ghost town. How do the owners of EE sleep after killing the goose who laid the golden eggs?

    Are you unable to log in or is it just logging you out after X amount of time?  Your wording wasn’t quite clear.

    Same, I’ve stopped using EE for projects.  It’s turning into quite a mess of bugs, yet no support for them.  Support was the reason I chose EE in the first place over others with much larger communities.

    If you want to report a bug, then do so. Everyone complains EL doesn’t respond, but they typically do respond to bug reports and often post fixes until the next version is released. Perhaps if some in the community took an effort, rather than default to complaining all the time, more could get done.

    Here’s the bug tracker:
    https://support.ellislab.com/bugs

    It’s at the top of the page when you are logged in. If you feel you have found a bug, check it to see if someone else has reported it and see if there is a fix. If it’s not reported, do so yourself. It’s pretty handy, frankly.

    As to the state of forums, this is old news. Are we still complaining? How about stackexchange for ee. Have you checked there? Plenty going on:

    Yep- definitely if you suspect a bug, report it in the bug tracker (I just followed Jack’s link from the tracker to get here).  It’s going to get much faster attention.  Jack- I’ll pick this up with you there.  Anyone having an issue, just hop over to the tracker and subscribe if needed.
