Can you tell me what triggers this error message below for some and not for others when they are trying to submit a comment?

Computer says your input might be spam, so it is discarded.”

i have Low NoSpam extension and also reCAPTCHA installed and enabled.
I also tried the setting in Low NoSpam for “enable zero tolerance” (Enabling Zero Tolerance will check every POST request made and will discard the input when tested positive for spam. This will override all of the above settings.) But now receive complaints that users are getting the above error message. So i turned it off, but users are getting the same error message when trying to submit a comment.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
