I’m using Pngyu to compress png’s with a transparent background. When thumbnails are generated by EE’s file manager the transparent pixels are replaced with black pixels. Non-optimised png’s don’t have this issue. I’m not doing any manipulation such as rotating.
Pngyu uses ImageAlpha, TinyPNG and pngquant.

Are the originals png 8, 24, or 32? And is it converting to the same? This is common when trying to use png 24 since it doesn’t support transparency. (a 24 bit transparent file is actually a 32 bit)
