    Hi there,

It’s been years since I have worked with EE (changed careers) but I have a client who has over 140,000 spam member registrations. I have since gone in and changed the registration options. However, how can I delete the current member in there. I was notified of the problem by anotehr website owner who received an email from Google about getting their site disabled…

“The only way that Google will consider placing my website back in their index is by getting these links removed. So I really need your help.

In practice, all you need to do is to simply delete the spammy site members via Expression Engine’s control panel.

    Following are the details :
the link can be found on your website at this URL : http://parehab.org/index.php?/member/23301/
It points to this URL on my website : http://www.cafedelabourse.com/member/16724
ID number of spam member page : 16724
Username associated with spam member page : jmarceyaioo

Failure to remove this link would require me to file a “Disavow Links” report with Google. My concern is that if I submit your site in this report to Google, it may “flag” your site as spammy or otherwise not in compliance with its quality guidelines. The last thing I want is to have another webmaster go through this grief.

Just run a search on “registration spam” and you’ll find more than enough info to help you out.
