once uploaded new filles and going to admin page to upgrade i get..

now i’m getting
Your ExpressionEngine installation’s version (2.5.4) is not consistent with the reported version (2.5.5). Please update your installation of ExpressionEngine again
when i run the update the browser screen goes blank

started over will all fresh downloads and uploads seems ok now.

Have similar problem with update from 2.5.3 to 2.5.5 leading to a blank screen. Will try again, per your report here, gaweb.
As an aside: saving updates for slower times, wee hours or weekends is that the idea of doing an update during quiet times means one’ll never be able to get tech support from Ellis Lab, because of their regular office hours M-F availability.
