Future Date Issue

    Hey guys,

Having a really weird issue with a site.

At first we thought it was an issue with time stamps with localization settings, the server, the users - everything. So we checked them all and they all register as fine.

    Here’s what’s happening:

If we create an entry and post it right away, it shows up without issue on the website. However, if we future date that entry, even by 1 minute, it never shows up on the website. Never. Ever.

If you go back to the same entry after the time has come and gone and publish it again (without changing a single thing) then it shows up on the site. This is the only time that I’ve come across this issue on countless builds.

    Thoughts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Do you have show_future_entries=“yes” as a parameter in your channel entries tag?

Nope - we don’t want to show future entries, at least not until their publish time comes and goes.

It sounds like a caching issue then. If you’re caching the page in one way or another then it would make sense that re-publishing the entry would trigger a refresh of the cache.

    Ugh. That’s totally it. *facepalm*

Thanks! We have caching turned on for a very very large page so it doesn’t take forever to load.

I’ve forced this template to not cache and to refresh every 0 minutes (as a redundancy).

    Thanks for your help.

    Gold star to you, sir.
