Hi,

I recently installed a core version of EE and have come across an unusual bug.

When I login and click on one of the menu items eg. Design, Admin etc. the menu does not fly out to show me the options.

I have used licensed versions of EE for a long time and have never experienced this error before. This is my first time (in years) using the core version.

Another very unusual bug is when I am able to navigate to the template manager, the who right side is not displaying. I was able to create a template group from the home page but when I navigate to the template group section the usual right hand side listing the default ‘index’ does not display.

I have tested on Chrome & Firefox. I have not changed the system name or admin.php. I have not uploaded a .htaccess to remove index.php from the URL.

To sum up:

The navigation menu is not working on click. On click a hash tag is appended to the URL (like it doesn’t even work at all). I can not access any areas of the site without the fly-out menus being operational. On the template manager screen the right hand side does not display making it impossible to edit the default ‘index’ page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Further info:

I have restarted my computer thinking that it may be the issue however that has not fixed anything.

When inspecting the links it appears they are all empty “#”. See attached.
