Hello,
I am working with a client to troubleshoot a problem they are experiencing on their local version of a site running on Apache for Windows. I mention that it is Windows because we didn’t have this problem when developing the site on our local (MAMP) and staging (Unix) environments.
I’ll attached the error that they are getting when attempting to view/edit templates in the control panel.
Error Number 1366
Incorrect String Value: ... for column ‘template_data’ at row 1

Ok, getting an acceptably small enough screenshot was an *ordeal*. Ellis Lab, please consider allowing larger images sizes for uploads.

I tried once to develop on MAMP, then move production to IIS. What a nightmare! Then I attempted to load apache on the WIndows Server and get it work, with nothing but problem after problem.
So, I managed to convince the client’s CTO (yay!) to setup a redhat box for me, and all was well.
Moral of story… develop on a similar platform you’re going to deploy on.
