I’ve been trying to find out how to modify the EE CP but can’t find this information anywhere.

Basically I’d like to change the Chanel Entries table to show different info in the table.

    How do I do this?

    Cheers

    Hi veryfirstto,

If you are looking to customize the channel entries table/fields you can do so by logging in as superadmin and go into any channel entry to publish content. Once there look on the far right of your screen just across from where the Publish, Date etc. tabs are you will see a link “show toolbar”. Click this and you will the menu will slide open and show you all the fields etc. you have available for your channel. You can show/hide any fields as you like. You can also show/hide tabs etc. Once you are done setting things up the way you want scroll down towards the bottom of this menu and you will see options to preview your changes for any particular user group. Once you are happy with it all just save the settings for any user group you want. That’s all you have to do. I hope that’s what you were looking for.

    Cheers,

    Mike

Hi Mike, cheers for the reply as this is also new info for me so that’s good, but I don’t think it answers my question.

I was talking about the table that lists all the entries. after you select edit>[channel name]

    currently the heading are:

    # Title View Comments Author Date Channel Status

but I want to add more columns, like expiry date.

    thanks

    Hi Rowan,

Sorry, for that you need to get something like Zenbu. I use it and it works great. You can customize the channel entries list and columns how ever you like. I hope that helps.

I should have mentioned that EE doesn’t have a built-in feature to customize that screen.

    Cheers,

    Mike

Thanks Mike, that add-on looks like the kind of thing I’m after.
