    Hi

I am after a bit of advice on the best way to solve a query for our website.

We are running EE2 an would like to add in a new secure area to allow customers to download a secure file.

We could use the customer login area of EE, but our issue there would be that the customer groups that access this secure area are for a particular small area and so having a customer login on the site would be misleading as other content is freely available.  Unless there is a better way to run a smaller customer login area for a particular section?

We then thought about having a contact form that when completed emails the customer a link to view the file.  However what makes this a bit more complicated is that we would need this link to expire/change after a certain time, meaning the same link just cant be sent to anyone who wants the file without having to fill in the form first.

Would there be a plug-in/addin or good way to set this up?

    thanks for any input

I think this plugin has the functionality you need…..

I am using it on a current install for a client and it seems good, although i am not using the downloads functionality so cant comment on that aspect of it.

    Thanks Edd

Do you know if they offer a trial to test?  The only reason is that its $149 and would like to test before buying

Not sure, checkout their documentation - that’s likely to hold the answers your looking for.

I don’t know about a trial, but if you buy from devot-ee you can get your money back within 30 days if you don’t like the plugin / it doesn’t work.
