    Hello Everyone,

My company has a few websites for both internal and external use.

Our main site is on expression engine which I am just starting to get familiar with, while I have been spending more time on our internal sites which have been built on Wordpress.

So here is my issue. I am adding a main page to our main site. I have the address, but I do not have the content yet. All I want to do is get it setup so it is ready for when the content is sent over to me.

I created a new Channel and Channel Fields for the Channel and I know how to add entries to the new channel, but how do I alter the content on the main channel page?

so I know how to edit: http://www.website.com/channel/entry
but how do I edit: http://www.website.com/channel

because right now even after I have added the new channel, and I set the web address I wanted while I was creating it. I am still led to: page not found when I try to goto the channel address, and I cannot find anywhere to edit the content for this page either.

    Please help me out.

    Some basics:

    - Channels hold content and only hold content. They are url-agnostic. They are also page-agnostic. There is no such thing as a “channel page” or “main channel page” or “channel address”.

    - The way you draw content from channels to pages is through Templates.  Template groups and templates create your URL structure. You define the site’s home page by assigning a template to play that role. The code in your template defines which channel content to pull to the page. Could be one entry from one channel, could be 100 entries from 100 channels.
