    Hi,

I know this issue has been raised a whole bunch of times and I read the threads and followed the advice, but to no avail.

Save Templates as Files had been working and now for some reason it is not.

    I triple checked the basepath.

I quadruple checked the permissions (777 on templates folder, default_site folder and the .group folders).

Allow Templates to be Saved as Files is set to Yes in the Global Template Preferences.

Save Template as File checkbox is checked in the individual templates.

I’ve synched on the Synchronize Templates page.

I appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

    Thanks,

    Michael

When you say “not working”, can you elaborate? What steps are you taking to create a new template, what do you expect to happen, and what happens instead?

    Sorry for my vagueness.

I’ve created several new templates in the Template Manager, on each one making sure the “Save Template as File” checkbox is checked, and clicked “update.”

When I do this I expect, as it has worked previously, that a new file should be created in the appropriate .group folder on the server.

But when I go into my ftp program to open one of the new templates in my code editor, they are not there.

So for good measure I go into Synchronize Templates and synch all of the templates but still no template files.

I did try a reverse test where I created a test.html file and uploaded it to one of the .group folders in the default_site folder in the templates folder and it did show up in the Template Manager. Not sure what this might imply.

    Thanks.

What if you now make an edit to that template in the template manager. Does it echo to the file on the server?

    Yes, it does.
