Hi Tyler,
Sure thing!
In your Control Panel, Content-> Files-> File Upload Preferences: Edit
There you should see the settings for your image manipulations. Set either the width or the height to the size you need, and set the other to 0. Set the Resize Type to “Constrain” and update your settings.
Then, Content-> Files-> File Upload Preferences: Synchronize.
Cheers!
Thanks for the response Dan.
I’m trying to crop a smaller image out of a much larger one, so that isn’t going to work. I have to have both a width and height set, and constrain would shrink the image way down while I still need it zoomed to 100% if that makes sense.
I’m trying to crop, say a 400x200 image from much larger images that don’t have the same ratio. Some could be 3000x800 or 1200x1000, pretty much random.
Crop works correctly but the crop happens in the center of the image. Which honestly makes a lot of sense but in this instance isn’t going to work for me. The top of the image is what I need.
So I was hoping somewhere in the code there was a simple(ish) way of switching the crop from center center to top center or top left.
It isn’t the end of the world, I could set up a second Image Upload field but I’d rather just have one so I can be lazy.
