I’ve kindda figured out how to display a list of Channel records (e.g. a product list page). How would I go about providing my users with a link to the individual record (e.g. the product details page)?

- Create a detail template with another channel:entries tag pair, limited to 1, dynamic not turned off.
- Link to the detail template from the list template using a linking variable that puts the entry’s url title into the path - either url_title_path or title_permalink

Why limited to 1? Shouldn’t it already be 1 anyway?

Just an extra good measure in case someone hacks off the url_title of the entry, which would cause the channel:entries tag to repeat up to 100x depending on how many entries were in the channel.

What Mike is describing is a means to make sure it only returns 1 entry, an individual record.
