    Hi,

I have a general recommendation / usability question.

I’d like to set-up a expression site to host and manage 1-page individual website. That means, someone will be able to sign up and get a custom website, based on a few themes that I provide. So, it’s not really a website but more 1 page to showcase a project, an event or even a business along with some custom design (not totally) and custom content.

Now I’m wondering, would it be feasible to simply create a few template groups to order them by category and assign each business / person an individual template? We might end up with over 10000 pages (templates). I’m not sure how I would do this with channels, given that the pages will be mostly unique.

Will EE be able to handle it?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Edit: I see and understand why the use of so many templates may be undesirable. Especially if I’d like to sort some of the results. Even though it may not be the best use scenario: Would it be possible to use an barebones theme and have all the custom HTML sitting in the channel entry? Will this slow down anything / cause any problems?

    Thanks again!

Before solving the technical issues - have you spoken to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)? It’s tough to say for sure but you might be overstepping the EE license agreement here.

Good to know - even though a little late because we’re very far in the development process. Planning to purchase the license soon.

I’ll get in touch with them. Thanks for the heads up.
