    Greetings,

I read quickly through this thread: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/215350/

I need to create an Advanced Search Form. What I would like to do is provide as many as 3 drop-down picklists where each one is a defined category set in Exp Eng. Then base the search on a combined category search like category=“1|2|3”. Is that possible to have multiple category pick lists?

    Thanks,
    Bob.

    Hey there R.K.Foster,

Thank you for posting your question.

The first thing that comes to mind is SuperSearch.

I did some looking around and this seems like what you are after. Does that sound right?

    Cheers,

    Shane,

I guess you know how to “look around” a little better than I do. :cheese:

Yes, the link to foamcow is what I wanted to do. I was hoping to stay within Exp Eng’s own tags instead of using php code, as this solution does. But, I keep telling myself that I’m going to try Exp Eng add-on development sometime. Would that be overkill here to create those search results via php?

    Thanks for the tip.
    Bob.

    Hey Bob,

    Sounds good!

I do not think that it is overkill at all. It’s a great way to dive deeper with ExpressionEngine.

    Cheers,
