    Hi

My client (and me too) has a hard time to find out if a entry has expired in the CP.

Is there some addon out there which marks expired entries in some way or the other.
And if no I’d like some cool dev to create something like this 😉

I mean from a Usability point-of-view this is very bad. You can only see on the date if the entry is expired or not. Unfortunately we europeans have a hard time figuring the US time format. So why not add a Optical clue like a little sign, or show the entry in grey or something like that. Or set the status automatically to closed. This would already be a hint.

How do you people handle this?

    Hi,

I think, it can be possible by using Zenbu module. You can check if Zenbu supports for showing column of “Expiration Date” on “Edit Channel Entries”. I ‘m not sure about it.

If Zenbu don’t provide this feature then an extension with the hooks “zenbu_entry_cell_data” and “zenbu_add_column” can be developed. As these hooks are supported with Zenbu. So new column will be added on Zenbu’s “Edit Channel Entries”.

I hope, it would help you.

    Hi Kaspar,

Sorry for suggesting you for extension development. I looked at Zenbu settings. You can add “Expiration Date” column also for the any channel which will be visible on “Edit Channel Entries”. You can format the date according to your preference.

Hope, it would fulfill your need.

    Best Regards,
