Hi,
I am new to ee, and looking for some guidance.
I am looking for some tutorial or dvd training showing how to build a site from start to finish.
Any recommendations?

This is a very commonly asked question.  I find when we answer this, many who post this question bark back saying they’ve already read that. . .bought that. . . are php masters with variables. . .want a site focused on e-commerce. . .or members. . .

To avoid all that, it’s best to give some idea of your skills, short and long-term goals # users / authors etc.

For example, Mike Boyink’s train-ee is great if you are a beginner and want the core functionality of ee with no addons or just a few that he recommends.

That approach would drive me crazy.  We were customizing our ee site in 2005 even though we are tiny because it was fun and the enormous power of ee was a joy to discover.

You started in the right place - this generous and wise ee community.. . and this is where more info will help.  Ellis also has free videos.  I really like ee-podcasts,
