    Hi there,

I can’t change the status of a post anylonger. It’s simply not saved, when I select it via the drop down.

Yes, I’ve already checked the status group permissions and channel assignments and I’m logged in as Super Admin.

Anything else I might take a look into?

    Thanks.

Strangely, it’s working when I bulk edit entries via Zenbu.

But I need the native functionality working too, because my main problem is, that the automated setting of statuses doesn’t work, which might be a related problem.

    Hello Heiko,

What version of ExpressionEngine are you currently using?

Were there any changes recently? Are you using any Add-Ons? Are they all up to date?

    Please let me know!

    Cheers,

Yes, I am using addons - who’s not?! 😛 - and everything is up to date, except for EE itself, which is still v2.5.2 - and for good reason.

Honestly, I don’t know, if this behavior is due to a recent change, because I didn’t test it before. I’ve set statuses via Safecracker all the time and it’s working as expected.

Is there a way to disable all addons in one go, without losing any settings? If so, I couldn’t find it yet.

    Thanks.

    Hey Heiko,

So this is via SC on the front end?

You may not know if the behavior is due to recent changes, but were there any recent changes? It will help me troubleshoot if I have this bit of information.

Can you list out the Add-Ons that you are currently using? I am interested in seeing if an Add-On that you have installed may effect entries, so a list of those would be great.

There is not way to disable all the Add-Ons, and there would be data loss depending on the Add-On, but that’s not always the case. Really depends on the Add-on.

Once I have a little more information, maybe we can get to the bottom of this.

It may also be much faster if I get a log in from you and take a look. If that ends up needing to happen, is that okay?

    Thanks,

    Thanks, Shane.

I’d let you log in for sure, but I’m still running the site locally, so I’d love to avoid having to deploy it as long as possible.

The problem does only occur, when I try to set the status via the CP. SC works fine.

So, I’m using these addons. Any known “troublemakers” among those? 😉

I’ve attached a screenshot, so you can see the blank status-fields.

I just noticed that I can not only not alter statuses, but anything at all via the backend. Not even the entry-title. Nothing is saved, when I make changes via the CP. And I can’t even create new entries that way.

OK, I’m going to uninstall each and every addon now to see if I can find anything.

    Damn, I found it!

I had a required field in there, which didn’t let me save the entry per se and I didn’t notice the validation error somehow.

Now, that’s embarrassing! Sorry for the fuss… ;(
