The automated email, Admin Notification of New Entries, does not allow for entry_id to be part of the published url returning the recipient to the posted entry. Given that my entries are site.com/template-group/template/entry_id, how can create the url to return the recipient to the posted entry.

    Best wishes
    Lee

    Hey Lee,

That template entry_url and auto_path is built based on how it is set up for that channel in Channel Preferences.

Make sure that in channel preferences that you have the URL to this channel and that it is a template that is a single entry template whatever kind of links that EE builds will point to that. That should work.

These templates are not as flexible as the other templates, as I am sure you have discovered.

    Thank you,

My channel preferences, Channel URL and Comment Page URL, are pointing to template that is setup as a single entry, like: http://www.site.com/index.php/template-group/template. No way te specify a url_title or entry_id in those preferences.

    Hi Lee,

Yeah, I ran this by a few team mates as well. Because the template uses {entry_title} and is limited to just {entry_title} that is what you are forced to use.

Feature Request is about the only thing I can think of at this point. The request would be for url_title and/or entry_id to be included in the variables available to that message template.

    Thank you,

    Hi Lee,

    One additional note.

Do you have dynamic on or off? ExpressionEngine should auto detect however the template forms the link and it should work. If it is on it should work. entry_title or entry_id.

    Thank you,
