I am working on a site with content in Chinese and I have a problem with the URL Title field in the publish page.

If I just hide the URL Title field then the system generates a URL Title based on the chinese characters in the title which come out as a group of numbers and won’t work.

So, for the content to display correctly, it seems that the URL Title needs to be composed of european characters rather than Chinese characters.

This need not be a problem in itself but I need a way to add instructions to the field so that non-experienced Chinese users will know what to do here when publishing their new content.

Is there anyway of adding instructions to this field?

I’d be grateful for any suggestions.

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for posting your question!

Unfortunately there is no way to add a description or instruction field to the default title channel field, but there is an Add-On that runs $10 that will allow you to do this and change a few things about the title field. Take a look at Title Master and let me know what you think!

    Cheers,
