    Hi All,

I just upgraded my good ole 1.73 license to 2.0+ and I’m moving over a Wordpress blog with 140+ posts over to EE (YAY!). I’m so thrilled about this I can’t wait to get building and making the site better than it ever was.

With that said, In the coming months, I will also be expanding and adding 2 more sites to the mix and have a few questions about multi-site.

    Here goes.

Can I move my single blog over now, which will eventually be part of a multi-site network or does it matter?

Eventually the multi-site network will look something like this :

    city.networkdomain.com

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks in advance!

I have a MSM install with 2 addons domains.  You don’t really need to buy the MSM module right away, since its really easy to add it to any EE site. (The whole process took me less than 5 minutes). So I would recommend starting with your main site and get used to the new EE tags and buy the MSM when you need it.

    Hi, simonsays -

You can add the Multiple Site Manager at any time. Bear in mind that the first site - your current EE installation - well always be site 1 and can not be removed without database manipulation; so you’ll want to ensure that site is built out of what you always want to remain as that site.

Does that make sense?  And thank you to Kaori for jumping in as well!
