In the top right of the control panel is the link to the website that I’m working on. How do I change the link?

    Hey adlitinc,

Thank you for posting your question!

That is set in the Control Panel under General Configuration -> Name of your site.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

    Cheers,

Let me rephrase that better. How can I change that link to be “_blank” so that I don’t loose my control panel window. It would be a matter of convenience.

    Thanks,

    Hey adlitinc,

You would need to hack one of the core files to do this. That change would be lost during upgrades. There is no GUI for changing that setting.

    Cheers,

    Hi Jasper,

You can actually create your own CP theme that merely changes that one element in the CP. EE lets you create your own theme that uses the default CP theme as a base and only overrides the default theme files with your CP files if they’re present. Have a look at this part of the developers docs for more info.

    Does that help?
