Hi. My company’s website is running on EE1. For some reason the whole website is donw and all i get is this messsage.. “Disallowed system path”

I cant even access the backend.

I didnt do anything to the site recently so Im not sure what might be causing this.

Hi Stephen,

That error typically means that the system wasn’t able to find the config.php file in /system/. Could you check to make sure it’s there and not blank? If it is missing or blank, you’ll need to restore that file from a backup.

Hey Kevin thanks for replying to my post…

The website I was referring to above has been fixed not sure who at my job fixed it..

But I have another site that having the same issue. This one runs on EE2. It has the config.php but it is blank. What do I do? Ive never done a back up of my site…

Without a backup, you will need to rebuild the file.

Please start with this example and replace values with your site values.
