Help! Blank white screen on edit or publish - after upgrade

    I just upgraded from EE 2.2.2 to the latest version. Now when I go to edit or publish an entry in a certain channel I get a blank white screen. The other two channels appear to work fine.

    How can I debug this? What would be different about that channel to make it stop working? The only think I can think of is that the channel uses a custom fieldtype that is breaking it?

    Urgent help appreciated. I can provide admin login if required.

    I looked at the fieldtypes used for that channel and the only non-standard field that was not using its latest version was Matrix. Updating Matrix seems to have fixed the issue.

    I wish there was an alternative to the white screen of death so there was some indication of what the problem is rather than stabbing in the dark.

    Glad you found a solution, benek! I agree, those white screens are really unhelpful. You can generally get more information on that sort of thing by enabling error reporting. That’ll show you any PHP errors that are usually being supressed.
