    Hello,

    I’m having an issue where I’m getting the error above on a file field.  I have nothing uploaded to the file field but I get blank placeholder image that looks like the attached.  I have to remove this placeholder image before I can save the entries.

    The upload directory and thumb directory are set to 777.  I also tried replacing the javascript directory in the themes folder.  Any other ideas?

    running 2.5.2 and structure, wygwam, matrix, better workflow

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Hey there fodney,

    Yeah, something is really off. Blank image and a literal

    {filedir_}

    without a number for the upload destination.

    A few things to check.

    1. Double check that the file upload destination is still defined correctly. filedir_ should be filedir_X where is X is a number. So I really think something got messed up there. You may just need to define a new upload destination or recreate that channel field. Make sense?

    2. Better Workflow ... that deals with the Control Panel correct? I would disable that for testing. Try to get the Control Panel as vanilla as you can. If I were to access your install and troubleshoot, that would be my first step.

    I think either 1 or 2 is going to do it for you. But if not, I will want to jump in there and take a look.

    If you can, after this is solved, I really suggest updating to 2.5.3. With over 100 bug fixes, it’s worth the time and it’s painless.

    Cheers,
