    Hi!

Where I live, Monday is the first day of the week.

Obviously Sunday is the first day of the week where ExpressionEngine or at least the datepicker of expressionengine comes from.

Is there anyway to have datepicker behave european?

(I have been searching high and low on this but either I am the first to have this problem or I just cant get my searchterms right because I cant find any forumthread or userguide-section on this matter)

EE uses the Jquery date picker which obviously defaults to the International standard. You can localise the start day ( http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker/#localization ) but you’d probably need to modify the Jquery files that come with EE.

    Hi!
Yes after some searching I found the jquery.ui.datepicker.js deep in the themes-folder (themes/javascript/compressed/jquery/ui/). On line 16 it says:‘firstDay:0’. I switched that to ‘firstDay:1’ and it seems to do the trick.

I will ofcourse loose this right after next upgrade so I guess there is a way to use any of the localized files to be found yet one level deeper, in the ‘i18n’-directory (jquery.ui.datepicker-sv.js)

In the ‘Config File Editor’ in CP there is a field ‘$config[‘time_reference’]’ that possibly could be what I am looking for. I tried to switch it from ‘local’ to ‘sv’ or ‘se’ for swedish but none of that worked.

Oh wait! I’ll just have to try ‘swedish’ before I hit ‘Submit Post’. Hang on!

    (switching tab etc…  )

    I’m back!

    Nah….  it didnt work :(

I think it will have to be manually updated whenever you update EE 😊

    Really!?
Well it looks like I’ll have to take this baby to the department of feature requests then.

Thanks for your time and engagement!

    Hey David S,

I am glad that Rob was able to help!

Is there anything else that I can help with?

    Cheers,
