I am looking for a way to set a default value for a Text Input Channel Field.
Or instead add the same value to many entries in the same channel field. Is this possible within EE 2?

To do this manually currently I am using Sequel Pro to edit the table rows individually. There is probably a SQL commend that would do this, but I am wary of wreking my database.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your question.

Are you asking about the Control Panel and Channel Entries? I am not aware of a way to automatically populate a custom field in the Control Panel.
