This question may be related to a resolved thread.

Hi. My customer just emailed me asking what the A Core File Has Been Modified message is about.

In Admin -> Email Configuration I have set the return address to be his, for contact forms etc., and the Webmaster email as mine. BUT he gets this message?? Is that right? Because it needs to go to the webmaster email.

    Thanks

    Hey amityweb,

Is he getting this in an email? It should just be a message at the top of the screen in the Control Panel.

What version of ExpressionEngine are you currently using?

There were over 100 bug fixes in 2.5.3, so if you are able, upgrading to 2.5.3 is a good idea.

    Thank you,

Yes it was an email, but I have seen this emailed on other sites before, I thought it was normal. A core file has changed again and I did not get the email, so I suspect he has again.

I will try to upgrade soon, I have 2.5.2.

    Hey amityweb,

Awesome. Please let me know how the upgrade goes.

    Cheers,
