    H there,

Local club want help setting up a ‘journal’ within their current site - it uses EE.
Basically a member can log basic ride information - this can then be retrieved/viewed month by month/yearly.
Each member would be able to “log in” to the club website and access their own personal log.
Not sure if another DB would need to be set up to hold this or an EE installation could hold all this as well?
Also the info would need to entered in a form rather than on the back-end of EE?

Not sure if there’s a quick solution to this or if there’s a plug-in/Module currently in existence that could sort this?

Maybe I haven’t explained this properly - will to clarify as best I can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello _SiD_,

    Thank you for your questions!

The MySQL DB that ExpressionEngine uses will be more than enough for what you want to do, so no worries there.

ExpressionEngine comes with Safecracker, whose existence is to allow you to add entries on the front end of your site.

The site sounds like a lot of fun! I love building out journal sites.

You have all the tools you need to move forward. If you have any questions, please just let me know!

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane,

Glad you got back and also appreciate the offer of help (I’ll need it).

I’ll wade into this and get back to you when I hit a wall - I’ll hit many but will try not to bug you too much.

    Best
